Welcome to the hub for questions related to Cary and Dereem Hoff's Planned Paternity/Maternity Leave.
General Timeline
Cary and Dereem have empowered their well-equipped volunteer ministry teams to assume full leadership beginning after the Thanksgiving holiday. This will afford interim leadership to settle into their roles while Cary and Dereem can coach and resource them in December, prior to their planned leave.
Cary and Dereem’s Planned Leave will begin when Baby Hoff is born.

- Cary will return on or around Monday, March 27, 2023.
- Dereem will return on or around Monday, May 1, 2023.
- Their leave is in alignment with the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (PFMLA) and with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industry Requirements for Maternity and Paternity Leave.
What can I expect?
- Kids Connect will continue, each Sunday. Pastor Matt will resource the shepherds and will be onsite to support them, each week.
- Youth Life Groups will continue, every Wednesday. Pastor Matt will resource the leaders and will be onsite to support them, each week.
- A team of women will continue planning the IF Gathering for Saturday, April 29, 2023.
- A team of leaders will continue planning for VBS, June 26-29, 2023.
- Pastor Matt will resource Theresa Haines (our Nursery Coordinator) and will be onsite support to her, each week.
- Angela Wolf will take on additional administrative responsibilities supporting Kids, Youth, and Women’s ministries.
- At this time, we do not anticipate the need to hire additional staff.

- We kindly ask that you keep communication on a personal level and respect that they are away from all ministry responsibilities while on leave.
