In February 2018, Our Savior Lutheran Church is launching a Child Survival Program (CSP) in Managua with the help of Compassion International.
Our CSP will help babies reach their 1st birthday by providing life-saving services to pregnant moms. It will serve 15 babies and their mothers every year. The program provides everything the moms need before and after delivery in order to create a stable, healthy environment for babies. CSPs improve infant mortality rates dramatically.
We plan to sustain this new ministry with a new, holiday tradition - PIE SALES!
Every Sunday in October, we will sell pies in the church lobby to get us through the holidays here in the States, and we will use the proceeds to support our Child Survival Program in Nicaragua. For the price of a few, holiday pies, we can give the best start in life to the developing world’s most vulnerable population. It’s a sweet deal! For more information, contact Tracy Schlatter.
