Jesus' Prayer List

9/3/2020

Comments

Today’s cultural climate is overwhelmed with uncertainty. Many of us live in daily chaos. Fear and anxiety follows our thoughts. Perhaps all of this leaves our hearts feeling a bit disconnected from God and others.

The good news is that Jesus is with you. Jesus loves you. Jesus is for you. And, believe it or not - Jesus is praying for you!

Simply put, prayer is a heart-to-heart connection and conversation with Jesus. That’s why I’m so excited for us to start exploring who and what is on Jesus’ Prayer List in John 17 on Sunday, September 13!

I am praying that the Holy Spirit will use our time together sitting with Jesus’ Prayer in John 17 to:

  • inspire us to take our next step in boldly praying like Jesus;
  • send us into our neighborhoods and communities each week to pray for people; and
  • center us on what really matters: God’s presence and gospel power that brings life through Jesus!

This message series is going to be a fantastic part of our fall season, together. So, I encourage you to:
  • consider hosting a “Worship Party” on Sunday mornings or anytime during the week
  • share these messages with family and friends
  • use this resource guide to go deeper with others throughout the week

I believe this series of messages will be a part of God changing us - not to become “more Christian”, but rather to become more like Jesus. Why? Because we all need the certainty of God’s promises in the face of an uncertain future. We all need the peace of God’s presence in our daily chaos. We all need God’s strength in our weakness. And, we all want to grow in our relationship with God, our families, neighbors, community and world as we make disciples who love God, love people, and live like Jesus.

Love you more than you know.
Pastor Tim
