Back To School Fair

Looking for some assistance with Back to School Supplies?

  • Each August, we host a Back to School Fair with the goal of helping our community get a jump start on a great school year. This year, we will give out over 400 backpacks filled with brand-new school supplies to children in our local school district. We will also share over 400 warm, winter coats!! You do not need to register to attend the event. Children must be present to receive a backpack and coat.

Here are some ways you can...
DONATE TO THE SUPPLY DRIVE
​(mid July through early August)To prepare each year, we collect school supplies through a Supply Drive, held in the summertime.> See the Shopping List below for needed items.
Cash donations are also welcomed; we are able to buy some supplies in bulk and stretch those dollars further.> Click here to give online (select Back to School Fair in the dropdown).

2024 Highlights
  • 425 Backpacks that were filled with approximately $12,750 worth of School Supplies were given to students
  • Over 300 Winter Coats will keep students warm this winter
  • 344 Snack Bags were shared
  • 112 Cars drove through the Fair
  • 41 Volunteers gave their time
But even more important is the way it was done: with love, with joy, and in the name of Jesus! THANK YOU for letting Jesus shine through you and being a part of what God was doing with Back to School Fair.
All volunteer leaders are required to submit a Volunteer Application and be appropriately screened and trained before serving in any volunteer capacity at OSLC.
The Participation Form is our main source of information, medical release, photo release and authorizations for children, youth, and adults to participate in activities or events with OSLC.
