Leadership
Ministry Staff
- Led by the Lead Pastor, develops and implements the Strategic Ministry Plan in order to accomplish the four Desired Outcomes of the Board of Directors:
- Experience God's Presence;
- Live Life on Mission;
- Be the Inter-Generational Body of Christ; and
- Live Generously.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors govern the congregation through Policy Governance with an emphasis on vision rather than internal preoccupation, with encouragement of diversity of perspectives, with strategic leadership more than administrative detail, with clear distinction of board and chief executive roles, with collective rather than individual decisions, with emphasis on the future rather than past or present, and with proactivity rather than reactivity (John Carver, Policy Governance).
Elders
Elders serve in tandem with the pastors. They are servant leaders who use their individual spiritual gifts to study, teach, and preach God’s Word; are able through discernment and wisdom to identify false teachers and doctrine and take corrective action; participate in and encourage ongoing discipleship and mission; and extend pastoral care for members of the congregation.
Mission Endowment Team
This team is charged with creating a new focus on endowment growth and subsequent benefits. The hope is that this is a generation-to-generation program having a permanent place in supporting Our Savior Lutheran Church work.
