Care

for the body, mind, and spirit.
Our commitment to care for you flows from the love of Jesus! At Our Savior, we encourage everyone to care for our family, friends, neighbors, and community. This is the greatest way to give and receive care and prayer while you grow in community with one another.

We have many ways where you can become equipped to use your gifts, life experiences, and compassion to make a difference in the lives of people. Whether you are healing from a divorce, having surgery, getting married, or in need of someone to pray with, we value the privilege of serving you.

Contact our Pastoral Care Team or Katie Bussard, the Care Ministry Assistant, or call 253.531.2112 to get connected.

Get Equipped to Care

In response to our nation’s mental health crisis, we are honored to partner and resource our Central Pierce County community with Mental Health First Aid Training. Led by Pastor Tim, this training gives you the skills you need to each out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Other Resources

Stressed about Finances?
Our Benevolence Fund may be able to help you. Since March 2020, we have given away thousands of dollars to help take the stress off of people’s monthly cash flow as well as connect them with longer-term tools and resources. You can request one-time assistance at go.oslc.com/benevolence.

You can help make sure people have access to this blessing as the cold, rainy months are coming soon. Go to oslc.com/give and select “Benevolence” to make your special gift, today.

Do You Know Someone with Cancer?
We know that battling cancer or having an illness that requires sitting in a chair for hours is hard. In addition to your prayers and presence, you can now remind your loved one or friend that they are not alone with a Care Tote made by the care team at OSLC! Call or stop by the office today to pick one up!

Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministers are the “After People.” They are ready to come alongside you and provide comfort and support for as long as needed after the last child honks the horn, waves, and drives away—and the house suddenly seems empty. Contact Kirk to learn more and get connected to the support, comfort, and encouragement you need.

Faith Community Nurse & First Aid
Faith Community Nursing is a ministry to assist and enable our congregation and community to live full, abundant, and healthy lives. Our registered nurses promote wellness, advocate personal responsibility, serve as liaison with community resources, and integrate faith and health. While they do not disperse medication, perform invasive procedures, or provide hands-on nursing, they do serve as a valuable resource to you and your family. Contact our Pastoral Care Team to learn more.

Reconciliation
Reconciliation ministry coaches those involved in conflict helping them find resolution in a way that reflects God’s love and grace. Contact Lisa Grant to schedule an appointment to begin your journey.

Pastoral Counseling
Our pastoral team is ready to listen, encourage, speak truth, and help you walk through life's biggest challenges from a faith perspective. While we are not licensed therapists, pastors are trained and certified in many areas of spiritual, social, and relational health. Contact Lisa Grant to schedule an appointment to find hope and healing.
