Church Business Updates
Immanuel Lutheran Church Update
In early May, we shared that we are beginning to prayerfully explore Immanuel Lutheran Church’s (ILC) request to become one church in multiple locations. Here’s an update of what has happened since then.
Here is what to expect through July:
Phase Two (Ministry Due Diligence) will depend on the outcome of Phase One.
You are part of the process and we want to invite you to one of our Upcoming Listening Sessions.
Please register so that we can plan for enough food.
If you would like your feedback and questions to be confidential, please schedule a time to meet with Pastor Tim by contacting Lisa Grant in the office.
In early May, we shared that we are beginning to prayerfully explore Immanuel Lutheran Church’s (ILC) request to become one church in multiple locations. Here’s an update of what has happened since then.
- We met with the Lutheran Church - Extension Fund (LCEF) on May 30 for Phase One of the Due Diligence process, focusing on property, financial, and legal aspects.
- We have drafted a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This document explains the due diligence process. ILC’s Board Officers reviewed the MOU. It has also been reviewed by our attorney.
- Last week, Josh Rhee from LCEF completed a walkthrough of the ILC property and met with us to firm up plans to execute the Phase One Due Diligence process in July.
- We executed the agreement on Monday, July 1.
Here is what to expect through July:
- Gather and review property, organizational, and financial documents
- July 16-18: LCEF onsite to complete property assessment work
- July 18: Meet with LCEF for their report
- An email update on or around July 26 to share the outcomes of the property assessment work from July 16-18:
- Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) began A financial review of the church, coffee shop, and preschool. Additionally, they facilitated a formal property inspection and appraisal, professional environmental study, and site survey. We expect these reports will become available 2-3 weeks from July 18. Collectively, they will bring a greater awareness and clarity to the property’s opportunities and challenges.

Our Savior is committed to making disciples who love God, love people, and live like Jesus.
Annual Voters' Assembly

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors govern the congregation through Policy Governance with an emphasis on vision rather than internal preoccupation, with encouragement of diversity of perspectives, with strategic leadership more than administrative detail, with clear distinction of board and chief executive roles, with collective rather than individual decisions, with emphasis on the future rather than past or present, and with proactivity rather than reactivity (John Carver, Policy Governance).
Elders
Elders serve in tandem with the pastors. They are servant leaders who use their individual spiritual gifts to study, teach, and preach God’s Word; are able through discernment and wisdom to identify false teachers and doctrine and take corrective action; participate in and encourage ongoing discipleship and mission; and extend pastoral care for members of the congregation.
Ministry Staff
Ministry Staff, led by the Lead Pastor, develops and implements the Strategic Ministry Plan in order to accomplish the four Desired Outcomes of the Board of Directors:
- Experience God's Presence;
- Live Life on Mission;
- Be the Inter-Generational Body of Christ; and
- Live Generously.
