On Wednesday, our preschool was filled with the joy of the holiday season as our little performers took the stage for our Christmas recital, “The Best Present Ever!” Families and staff gathered in excitement to celebrate the creativity, hard work, and holiday cheer of our preschoolers. The Christmas recital was a wonderful reminder of why we celebrate this special season – the joy of Christ’s birth! We’re so blessed to be able to celebrate these special moments with our preschoolers, and we hope the message of “The Best Present Ever!” brings you joy and continues to inspire you throughout the holidays As we approach Christmas, may your homes be filled with peace, love, and the light of Christ. Thank you for being part of our preschool family and for sharing in this magical celebration.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year!

Why a Faith-Based Preschool Might Be the Right Fit for Your Family
Choosing the right preschool for your child is a significant decision. It’s often where children take their first steps into structured learning, social interactions, and foundational skill-building. For many families, a faith-based preschool offers unique benefits that extend beyond academics, fostering not only intellectual growth but also spiritual development. Here’s why a faith-based preschool like OSLC Preschool might be the right fit for your family: A Strong Foundation in Values Christian preschools allow teachers to incorporate faith into every aspect of learning. While lessons on social skills, communication, math, and the natural world are emphasized, they are taught through a Biblical perspective. Children often learn about Biblical stories, sing songs that praise God, and regularly attend chapel. Nurturing a Sense of Community Faith-based preschools, such as Christian preschools, promote a sense of belonging through shared values and traditions, creating supportive communities for families. Parents can have confidence in their child's safe and quality education while building lasting relationships with like-minded families. This provides a strong support system during the early parenting years. Whole-Child Development Faith-based preschools emphasize more than just academic learning. They incorporate prayer, storytelling, and group discussions that nurture empathy, creativity, and self-awareness in young learners. This approach enables teachers to recognize and address the unique needs and strengths of each child, ensuring that they feel seen, valued, and supported throughout their educational journey. Selecting a preschool is a deeply personal choice for families who wish for their child's early education to embody their values and beliefs. It’s important to ask questions to ensure that the program meets your family's needs and aligns with your faith. Whether your focus is on moral foundations, a sense of community, or Spiritual development, a faith-based preschool can offer a meaningful start to your child's educational journey. October was an amazing month, filled with fun fall activities and lots of happy moments with our little ones! We wanted to share some highlights and adorable photos from our pumpkin patch field trip and trick-or-treating around the church offices. 🎃 Pumpkin Patch Memories Our visit to the pumpkin patch was a blast! The children explored every corner, and got to pick out their very own pumpkins. It was a joy to watch their excitement as they learned about pumpkins and the harvest season. 🍬 Trick-or-Treating Around OSLC Trick-or-treating at the church offices was so fun! The kids showed off their amazing costumes, bringing smiles to everyone they visited. The church staff were so excited to hand out treats, and it was wonderful to see our little ones lighting up with joy as they filled their goodie bags. From superheroes to princesses, every costume was adorable! Welcome back to a brand-new school year! We’re excited to kick off September with our Pre-K and Preschool Classes, which are filled with new and exciting things.
Here's a look into what our Pre-K's have been up to! Time with Jesus A few weeks ago, we started diving into the Bible, discovering its rich stories that beautifully illustrate God’s love for us. The children learned that the Bible is divided into two parts—the Old Testament and the New Testament. Written by many people, it was God who inspired them to write these timeless messages. Understanding that the Bible is true and serves as God’s love letter to us was a touching and meaningful experience for the class. Unit Study: Emotions We've been exploring the theme of emotions. The children learned we can spread happiness by sharing love, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control. This is especially important as we make new friends and adjust to the school year. STREAM Activities: We are excited to dedicate Tuesday and Thursday mornings to exploring with the kids. Here are some of the fun things we've been up to: S: Experimented to see what keeps apples from turning brown. T: Played apple-themed Boom cards on iPads. R: Programmed BeeBots to move on a mat. E: Built towers using apple chunks and toothpicks. A: Created sun-catchers using crayon shavings. M: Practiced number matching with dice rolls. Our classes have had an incredible few weeks of learning, discovery, and fun! We can’t wait to continue this journey together and see what amazing things our little learners will achieve next. Stay tuned for more updates and have a wonderful weekend! We are excited to introduce our 2024/2025 school year teachers! For those who don't know OSLC Preschool is expanding!
